New product releases driving affiliate success

In early September 2024, Fly By Jing, a brand known for their chef-crafted Sichuan pantry staples, launched their “Winter in Sichuan” Advent Calendar. The advent calendar featured 12 curated flavors from Sichuan, including fan favorites and new sauces for the holiday season.
Jamdesk was tasked with working with its in-depth affiliate partner network to market this limited edition product through articles, reviews and gift guides.

The advent calendar was available for a six week period starting in early September. During this period, Jamdesk was able to secure nine content placements including with Forbes, Wirecutter, and The Kitchn. Through this increased exposure, Fly by Jing’s affiliate program saw a 131% increase in orders and 102% increase in traffic. Given the higher price point, this led to a 300+ lift in total revenue.
Partner Outreach & Development
Prior to reaching out, we identified a list of target content partners based on past performance and industry insights. Once we had a shortlist of partners, we began to reach out to our key points of contacts, leveraging our Partner Relationship Management (PRM) tool.
Given the seasonal nature of the product and limited inventory, it was imperative that we created urgency and acted quickly. Working side-by-side with each partner, we identified how the advent calendar could be messaged to their unique audience. By sharing talking points, product details and highlighting existing relevant content, we were able to bring speed to content creation. Additionally, we offered samples for editors to experience the product first hand. Ultimately the gifting message resonated most strongly.
