Driving growth during Prime Day

Driving growth during Prime Day

With Prime Day looming, Jamdesk was tasked to drive growth for a prominent gaming accessories brand. The brand had an existing Amazon affiliate program via Levanta but YoY growth across key ASINs was slowing. It was imperative that this year's performance surpass previous efforts.

Through active publisher engagement and the launch of a Creator Connections campaign, we were able to drive significant YoY growth and affirm the viability of the channel.

Key Results

  • 642% Increase in Revenue
  • 170 Newly Active Publishers
  • 120 Newly Productive Publishers

Creator Connections and Partner Engagement

Following Amazon’s policy updates, in particular those around double-dipping,  we implemented a dual approach - maintaining our Amazon Attribution efforts while also launching a Creator Connections campaign. This strategy allowed us to cast the widest net possible and fully maximize publisher reach and promotion.

Through the Creator Connections campaign, we were able to increase the number of partners driving both clicks and sales, reaching program bests in both of these metrics. Communication was pivotal. Reaching out early and often, sharing our Prime Day deals, and leveraging commission incentives, we were able to pique publisher interest heading into a key seasonal period.

Takeaways

It’s likely that Amazon’s policies around affiliate marketing will continue to evolve. With those changes, it’s important to pivot and adjust strategies. In this case, that meant launching a new offering. Additionally, publisher communication and nurturing allowed us to remain top-of-mind, despite all of the noise in the space heading into Prime Day.
